Last line of each stanza is the first line of next stanza

Note: some of the lines ended up wrapping to the next line as I haven't figured out how to change the page width yet.  So, it may look like I didn't follow the pattern I set out, but on a normal piece of paper it actually works out correctly.

Problem Solved

A problem of human nature was solved by Mother Nature.
New Moore Island, or South Talpatti as it was also known, has gone the way of Atlantis,
The ocean now flows over it without so much as a breaker.
No more fighting for control by India and Bangladesh
over an unpopulated piece of rock only 3.5 by 3 kilometers wide.

Over an unpopulated piece of rock only 3.5 by 3 kilometers wide
Two nations could have gone to war.
And now Mother Nature had denied
That any should ever again tread there
As the Sunderbans are slowly swallowed back up by the ocean.

As the Sunderbans are slowly swallowed back up by the ocean
The inhabitants are being displaced, as has already happened on Lohachara.
Their way of life destroyed by the ocean’s kraken
Transporting these people, animals, and belongings, like the great flood of Noah.
Ghormara, already half under water, and ten more islands are in danger.

Ghormara, already half under water, and ten more islands are in danger
As another man-made problem comes to fruition, global warming.
It is just a matter of time before all these islands suffer
The same fate, and become just tales of someone’s dreaming.
Like Atlantis, a myth to be searched out at a later time.

Like Atlantis, a myth to be searched out at a later time,
Or Stonehenge, or the Easter Islands, how did they come about?
Will we even remember the Sunderbans at the end of this lifetime?
Will their memory just fade-out?
It’s hard to say with certainty what Mother Nature will do.

It’s hard to say with certainty what Mother Nature will do,
As she tries to clean up this world of ours.
Water is the ultimate cleaner through and through,
Just look at the Grand Canyon if you want to see its’ memoirs.
Water can and will scourge away all.

Water can and will scourge away all,
Given the right amount of time and force.
Glaciers crave out mountains with their ebb and sprawl,
Making way for the next dominant species’ course.
Mother Nature will change our lives too.

Mother Nature will change our lives too.
While humans think they are in charge, Mother Nature has the ultimate control.
Mother Nature will change all boundary lines as is her purview
And for humans, there will be no loophole.
A problem of human nature was solved by Mother Nature.

End of an Era

As I climbed onto the roof I realized I was witnessing the end of an era.
We were finally taking down the T.V. antennae that had stood the test of time.
Digital T.V. had replaced the antennae’s need as we sat on the sofa.
Kids today will only know satellites for their lifetime.
It’s amazing how much has changed in 60 short years since T.V. became the rage.
